Ordering and Warranty info

A deposit of 30% of the total cost of instrument will get you a slot in my schedule for a standard instrument. For unusual instruments the deposit is 50% of the total cost. The remainder is due upon completion of the instrument. If you are dissatisfied with the instrument for some reason,and the instrument is pretty standard, your deposit will be refunded in full. If the instrument has unusual options that would limit its appeal to other customers (7 string, unusual color, full custom creations, “Tondalayo” inlaid at 12th fret) your deposit will be held until I can sell the instrument to someone else.

All Joe Dragony instruments are warranted for life to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. This does not include wear on consumables (strings, frets, tuners, etc.). It also excludes defects caused by abuse, such as exposure to extremes of climate or impact damage. All covered repairs will be done free of charge. Repairs by unapproved repair personnel may also void the warranty. I reserve the right to determine if the instrument has been abused or mishandled in any way which would result in the warranty being voided.

Delivery time is dependent on the instrument type and options. Wait time for electrics is currently 3 to 9 months. Wait time for archtops and steel strings are 9 to 15 months. Wait times for full custom projects are determined on a project basis. I always start components in batches so schedules depend on what I have in process at any given time.
